Buckinghamshire garden wedding, Sophie & Jake

Back in June I was back in Long Crendon for a Buckinghamshire garden wedding with Sophie and Jake. Sophie was a bridesmaid at Hannah & Christian's wedding which I photographed a couple of years ago.Such a beautiful wedding and I hope you enjoy looking at the photos.

Here's what Sophie had to say about their wedding

What was your favourite part of the wedding?Getting everyone on the dance floor and struggling to get them off at the end of the night!

Please let me know about any personal or DIY touches you added to make the day a little more ā€˜youā€™.We tried to make as much as personal as possible throughout. But the biggest thing of all (aside from the venue) was that our stationary was designed by our sister-in-law using paintings by Sophie's Granny.

Why did you choose your venue?Having it in the garden at my (Sophie's) parents house was something I'd always wanted to do, and luckily Jake thought it was a great idea too :)

How did you find using Lee Dann Photography, were there any particular things about my approach that you liked, and how did you feel about the photos once you received them? Some friends of ours had hired Lee to photograph their wedding and we absolutely LOVED the pictures. It was also held at the brides parents home and he really captured that personal touch and the personality of the venue in his images. Having plenty of candid photos rather than lots of staged ones was also something we really wanted, it's been so great looking through and seeing which guests are catching up with old friends or making new ones.

If you were doing it all again what would be the one bit of advice youā€™d give yourself at the start of the planning process? To relax and enjoy the day as much as possible, and practise your first dance!
