Eynsham Hall Wedding Photographer, Merra & Ben

Eynsham Hall Wedding Photographer, Merra & Ben

Well after a lovely break over Christmas it was time to get back in the saddle for an Eynsham Hall wedding in Oxfordshire.

This was my first wedding of 2019 and it was great to be back at Eynsham Hall.  I hear through the grapevine that this will be the last year of weddings in the main house, as they are moving the weddings to another location onsite.  It will be interesting to see what happens there.  It’s a shame as the house is a fabulous venue and I have a stack of weddings there this year.

Back to Merra and Ben’s wedding.

I always feel very privileged to do weddings at Eynsham Hall.  The drive through the grounds towards the house is beautiful.  A long tree lined drive greets you as you drive through the main gates.  After a while the trees end and you get your first glimpse of Eynsham Hall.  A very grand building and the perfect place to get married.

I was shooting this one on my own, so I covered both Ben and Merra getting ready.  I think you’ll agree they looked amazing, with Merra in traditional dress and Ben in a very smart wool suit.

A beautiful ceremony followed in the red room before heading out onto the terrace for a bubble run.

I must mention that the weather was unusually hot for March, so everyone decided to stay outside for the drinks reception and soak up the long awaited sunshine.

It was soon time for the sit down meal and speeches in the green room.

After dinner Merra, Ben and myself sneaked outside for a walk around the grounds and to take a few portraits.

After a bit of mingling it was time for Ben and Merra to cut the cake.  They had decided to not do a traditional first dance but instead asked all the guests to dance with them.  This was lovely and I got some fab shots of the party before I headed home.

I really enjoyed this wedding, as I do all the weddings I photograph.  Ben and Merra’s wedding seemed very intimate and on the other hand, lots of fun.  I especially enjoyed the best man’s dance music inspired poem during the speeches.

If you enjoyed looking at these photos and are planning a wedding, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to drop me a message Here.
