Notley Tythe Barn Wedding, Suzanne & James
Back in June I was back in Oxfordshire for a fabulous Notley Tythe Barn wedding with the lovely Suzanne and James.
You may remember Suzanne and James from a previous post, where we met up before the wedding in Oxford to take their pre wedding photos. You can see that post Here if you would like to take a peek.
I first met Suzanne and James on a bitterly cold evening in a lovely pub in Thame to show them some albums and recent work. They were due to get married the following year at Notley Tythe barn which is a venue I am familiar with as i’ve done weddings there before.
The wedding sounded amazing and I was so pleased when after lots of chatter and a few drinks, they decided they would love me to be their wedding photographer.
Fast forward to a lovely sunny day in June and I was heading to James’s parents house to photograph the bridal preparations. The morning passed with the usual glasses of bubbly and lots of laughter. Things got more hectic when the mini bridal party, the two flower girls and two page boys arrived. I love children at weddings, there is never a dull moment.
James and the boys got ready at their house nearby. Highlight……the best man climbing a tree to practice his speech. It certainly looked like they had a lot of fun getting ready as the photos show.
The ceremony was held at the family church a couple of hundred yards away.
After a beautiful ceremony filled with love and laughter, it was on to a confetti run of epic proportions. I wouldn’t be surprised if Suzanne and James weren’t still finding bits of confetti, there was that much of it.
It was then time to make the half hour drive to Notley Tythe barn for the reception.
Lots of laughter and lawn games was followed by the wedding breakfast in the barn.
After some great speeches it was time to cut the cake and dance the night away.
I had so much fun capturing all the great moments during this wedding, I almost had to keep pinching myself and asking, is this really work i’m doing.
It really was an amazing day. Smashing people and lovely weather. The perfect day.
