Intimate Calcot Manor wedding, Rachel & Mo

Last month saw me heading to Gloucestershire for an intimate Calcot Manor wedding with Rachel & Mo.You may remember Rachel & Mo from a previous post, where we met up before the wedding in Tetbury, at Calcot Manor to take their pre wedding photos.

Rachel and Mo booked me after seeing some of the wedding Slideshows I have here on my website.  I remember the telephone conversation I had with Rachel, where she told me about the intimate wedding they were planning at Calcot Manor in Tetbury. There really is something to be said for weddings where only the closest of friends and family are part of your special day.  I absolutely love small intimate weddings and i'm always pleased when i'm chosen to do them.  Thats not to say I don't enjoy large weddings too, theres just something really cosy about a small collection of loved ones getting together to celebrate your special day.Because of the intimate nature of Rachel and Mo's wedding, I photographed it on my own.  I started the day by going to see Rachel and her friends as they got ready. During the morning, I nipped over to take a few photos of Mo, his best man and young son as they got ready. The ceremony was held upstairs in the barn with a total of 16 guests.  It was a lovely little ceremony followed by an epic confetti run. The Drinks reception was held in the courtyard where an amazing Irish folk band were playing.Rachel, Mo and myself sneaked off for a few portraits in the grounds of Calcot Manor. When we got back it was time for games around the outdoor firepit. Lots of laughter was had, followed by the wedding breakfast in the barn.  After some great speeches it was time to cut the cake and dance the night away.I had so much fun capturing all the great moments during this wedding, It really was an amazing day.  Smashing people and lovely weather.

Testimonial

"We are so happy we chose Lee as our wedding photographer. His pictures are beautiful, and captured the day perfectly. He blends the perfect combination of 'fly on the wall' photos with some more formal shots if thats what you want. He is great at coming up with suggestions for interesting photos - he had done a scout around our venue and found a beautiful field of daisies we didn't even know existed which made for some wonderful couple photos! One of the best things about Lee (other than his creative eye and amazing photos) is that he is such a fun and nice person. When we were getting ready, I felt like I'd known him for years and he was one of my friends joining in the fun and laughter. But when it came to the wedding, meal and speeches, we hardly knew he was there, he just blended in. When we got the photos we were surprised at some of the shots as we hadn't even known he was taking photos - this resulted in some lovely natural photos capturing people's real emotions and feelings. Thank you Lee for being part of our special day! I recommend you to other couples whole heartedly! "
