Worton Hall Wedding, Mehvish & Shane
Last month saw me in Oxford again for a Worton Hall wedding with the very lovely Mehvish and Shane. A new venue to me as i’d not photographed a wedding there before. A big venue suited to weddings of 200+ which was perfect for Mehvish and Shane’s Asian wedding.
You may remember Mehvish & Shane from a previous post, where we met up before the wedding in Oxford to take some engagement photos. You can see that post Here.
I hadn’t met Mehvish and Shane before the pre shoot as they booked after an email conversation. As soon as I met them, I loved them instantly. Mehvish is lovely and warm spirited and Shane is brimming with that infectious Irish charm.
I was hired to shoot the first leg of the couples wedding which was a traditional Muslim wedding at Worton Hall in Cassington, Oxfordshire.
Whilst Shane was getting ready in Oxford, Mehvish was preparing for the big day in a dance studio which is attached to Worton Hall.
I love Asian weddings, They are always so beautiful and colourful.
Shane wore traditional dress in keeping with the theme and arrived with his family and friends to be greeting by Mehvish’s Friends and family. After a confetti style walk into Worton Hall under a shower of flower petals. He stood on the stage and waiting for his bride to arrive.
Mehvish made her grand entrance looking spectacular and made her way to the stage where Shane who was waiting patiently for her.
After the ceremony, there were lots of hugs and congratulations from the guests but finally we made our escape and headed off to take some portraits.
I’m a huge fan of Asian food, so with a full belly It was time for the speeches and some group photos.
In Tradition Mehvish and Shane then lead a procession out of the venue to make their departure in a fabulous Classic car. But not before a few emotional goodbyes .
It really was a great day, with a great group of people.
I’d like to say a big congratulations to Mehvish and Shane and I wish them all the best for the Irish wedding and the future…:)
