Friars Court Wedding, Abigail & Chris

Back in May I was in Clanfield with Abigail and Chris for their Friars Court wedding. You may remember Abigale and Chris from a previous post, where we met up before the wedding in Greenwich Park to take their pre wedding photos.

I really enjoy working at Friars Court.  It's such a lovely venue with a country cottage feel and it has the option to get married outside in the garden.  However it was my second visit there and I am yet to photograph an outdoor ceremony due to heavy rain on both occasions. The morning of the wedding was looking very much like rain was on the cards.  I arrived at The Cotswolds Plough to photograph Abigail and the ladies getting ready.  30 minutes before we we due to leave for Friars Court the heavens opened and it was again a ceremony in the Friars garden room.  Which is no big deal as its lovely!  One day maybe the weather gods will shine for me at Friars Court. Now as far as the weather goes, this was a wedding of two halves.  The morning saw biblical rain in the morning and after the ceremony the skies cleared and the sun beamed for the rest of the day. The ceremony was so lovely and I will never forget the look on Chris's face as he watched Abigale make her way through the garden towards him. After a the ceremony, it was around to the courtyard of the main house for a confetti run followed by the group photos.Lots of laughter and drinks were had in the gardens, followed by the wedding breakfast in the barn.  Now a record was set on this day.  A grand total of 16 speeches followed the main meal.  I was almost tempted to get up and say a few words myself :) it was time to cut the cake and dance the night away. I had so much fun capturing all the great moments during this wedding. It really was an amazing day.  Smashing people with questionable weather.

Testimonial

Choosing Lee Dann as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made. Lee was extremely accommodating with our requests for the big day. Moreover we organised 3 months before the wedding an ā€˜engagement shootā€™ which not only provided fabulous pictures but also an opportunity to become accustomed to Leeā€™s direction and for him to understand how we would be in front of the camera. On the big day, Lee brought along an additional photographer which was great to capture both the bride and groomā€™s preparation and different perspectives on the day. Lee is a documentary photographer and his images were very high quality. Although not his preferred style, he knew how important a series of formal family photos would be for us and they came out as great as the documentary shots. Lee was even able to give us a handful of photos within a week so we could make thank you cards and had the final photos a few weeks after. We are so pleased with Lee and our photos. We highly recommend Lee and will do so to all our friends and family. Abigail If you enjoyed looking at these photos and are planning a wedding, I would love to hear from you. Please feel free to drop me a message.
