Acorn Barn Wedding Photographer, Clare & Scott

In May I was in Stadhampton, Oxfordshire for the wedding of Clare and Scott at the fabulous Acorn Barn. A beautiful venue in the picturesque little village of Stadhampton and surrounded by trees and expansive fields.

The day started at Scott and Clare’s family home in Wallingford with me photographing the wedding preparations.

Following the final preparations I made my way to Stadhampton and the Acorn Barn to capture Scott greeting guests and await Clares arrival.

The Acorn Barn is a wonderful place that you could easily use as is, but Clare and Scott had transformed the place to match their vision. One of the coolest wedding themes ever with its colourful Mexican vibes.

The ceremony was held outdoors surrounded by trees and bathed in glorious sunshine. What more could you ask for. As clare made her entrance, given away by her mum. The look on Scott’s face as he watched her walk down the aisle was a picture.

Once Scott and Clare had said their vows and exchanged rings, the marriage was sealed with a kiss or two and followed by rapturous applause.

I captured lots of candid photos of family and friends congratulating Clare and Scott after the ceremony. This is always a great time to get natural shots of a couple interacting with their guests. To be honest as a photographer, this wedding was a dream to photograph with so much going on and so much joy and happiness.

Whilst the guests were enjoying a drink Clare, Scott and I took the opportunity to go for a walk to take some natural couple photos around the beautiful grounds of the Acorn Barn.

It was soon time to sit down for the meal and following on from the latin American theme of the wedding the food was all provided by a food truck. It was fabulous and with a full belly I photographed the speeches. A wonderful mix of humour and heartfelt sentiment followed. I do love a good speech and it’s probably one of my favourite parts of a wedding to photograph.

Before long it was time for the dancing and this didn’t disappoint with everyone well up for a good dance. Helped of course by a live band.

I have photographed many weddings in Oxford and all over the UK. I can see why Clare and Scott chose to get married at Acorn Barn. The photo opportunities were many and it was a dream location for a photographer, with so many fantastic options available.

I really loved working with Clare & Scott, It was such an amazing day.
